Local Storage: Application configuration settings, TV watchlists, optional torrent-client connection settings, and episode tracking strings are saved inside your browser profile using the chrome.storage.local API. This data is stored on your device and is not accessible to the developer.

2. Third-Party API Interactions

To deliver its core features, the extension interacts directly with public endpoints and user-configured local services through network requests initiated from your browser:

TVMaze API: Title resolution queries may be sent to public TVMaze metadata endpoints to cross-reference show title text. No user-specific tokens are sent during these lookups.
EZTV Page/API Access: The extension reads supported EZTV pages and related public endpoint responses to compare visible release information against your local watchlist. The extension does not upload analytics or tracking data from these actions.
User-Configured RSS Feeds: If the user adds an RSS feed URL, the extension may request that feed directly from the browser to compare release titles against the local watchlist. RSS feed addresses are stored locally and are not sent to the developer.
Local Client RPC/WebUI: When configured by the user, selected magnet links may be sent directly to the user's own torrent client WebUI/RPC endpoint over localhost or a local/private network address. These requests are sent directly from the browser to the user-configured client.

3. Chrome Web Store Limited Use Compliance

Simple TV Torrent Watcher is designed to comply with Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies.

The extension does not sell user data, transfer user data to advertising platforms, transfer user data to data brokers, or use user data to evaluate creditworthiness.

User data handled by the extension is limited to supporting the extension's single purpose: maintaining a local TV watchlist, checking supported or user-configured metadata/release sources, and sending user-selected magnet links to a user-configured torrent client.
